What we do
We are a Christian orgainsation running workshops in the creative arts for 8 - 15 year olds.
A typical workshop day will involve a selection from dance, drama, art & craft, flags and music, as well as worship and Christian teaching designed to nuture young people in skills and faith.
We are also available to provide dance and drama items in church services, working across the breadth of Christain denominations.
Why we do it
"Fan into flame the gift of God."
2 Timothy 1:6
We believe that human creativity is a reflection of being made in God's image. God created us to be creative, and therefore he takes delight in seeing his children do just that. We want to see young people released to use their creative gifts as an act of worship and as a ministry in their churches.
Where we do it
The cre8 team is based in Colchester, Essex (UK), and we run termly workshops at various locations around the town.
We also take teams of children and adults to lead workshop weekends for churches across the UK. In addition, cre8 teams have appeared at events run by MWF (Music and Worship Foundation), London School of Theology, at the bi-annual conference of the National Network of Pastoral Musicians.
Who does it
cre8 is led by Richard Hubbard, with Paula Stubbs, Margaret Andrew, Gail Mitchell, Dave and Marie Morris. Other leaders are brought in as required.
cre8 is a ministry of Cantus Firmus Trust.
