Joining the choir

Most choirs meet weekly. Cantus Firmus Choir is different, because we only meet for a few rehearsals leading up to each event. They are spread out over different weekday evenings, and the occasional Sunday afternoon, so you can still fit them in with your other activities.

Choir members sign up for each event as it comes, so joining the choir only commits you to one event at a time.

Rehearsals are friendly and relaxed, with time for coffee and a chat. It’s a great opportunity to meet and sing with people from other churches.

The choir welcomes singers of all abilities. Music reading ability is helpful, but not essential. You don’t need an operatic voice - just the ability to sing in tune.

There is an Open Rehearsal on Saturday 23 June 2012 (provisional date) - an ideal opportunity to try out the choir for a day. More details here soon.
