Our vision

We believe that the creative arts are an important part of the way that Christians express their worship of God. Why? Because the Bible says that God made us in his image, and since he himself is the ultimate Creator, some of that creativity is reflected in human beings. We create because we were made to create. And God is pleased when his people offer back that gift of creativity as an act of worship.

Cantus Firmus seeks to encourage people to do just that, by enabling them to develop creative skills in areas such as music, dance, drama, art and creative writing. We’re based in Colchester, Essex (England's oldest town), but often our work takes us further afield.
